Jaxon Matthew Amato- August 22, 2011

FINALLY. Jaxon was born on Monday night 8/22 at 22 hundred hours weighing 8lbs 2 oz and 22 inches in length. Go play 8 and 22 on your next lotto ticket. You'll thank me.

Currently, he's been in Anthony's and my sole care for 24 hours and although not a lot of sleep has happened, he went to the doctor this morning and he's a happy and healthy baby.

Now for picture bombardment...

Making and Freezing Dinners for Next Week

I feel as though Jaxon is waiting so long to come out because his mother is doing something that's is so out of character: not procrastinating. So far he's been living on the unprepared path. Today has been no different: I spent most of the afternoon cooking dinners to freeze for next week and dare I hope, this weekend.

Shepherd's Pie
(made this because it contains carrots, a recent preggo craving. Hence why you don't see as many on the cutting board, many ended up in my stomach)

mashed up potatoes for the top

the almost final product:
just needs to cook in the oven and then be eaten by a baby free belly

The Faux Due Date

In the beginning we were told that the baby was ahead of the game and we'd probably be waiting to great him on the 17th of August. Well, here we are... and we're still waiting..

The Patio Produce

Okay, I'm still working on the name, but the patio garden is loving the rainy weather we've had for days:

1 cm and Plenty of Soreness

I spent most of yesterday laying in bed watching television and trying to resist the urge not to clean the bathroom for the second day in a row because I have been craving the scent of cleaning products. (Anthony is going to be super disappointed at my actual cleaning skills once this baby is born).

We had an appointment with our baby doctor this morning and he assured me something has begun. I'm 1 cm dilated today and the baby is sitting so far low he was able to feel his head. Don't get too excited, we had to make an appointment for next week (my actual due date) and go over the options of a late delivery.

JMA clearly runs on his own time.

A little puppy love from the other day

This is Going to Kill My Post Baby Diet

Anthony had a few minutes in his day to spare for lil' ol me, so we decided to check out the new Greek restaurant that opened down the road from us. While the food was good, it's what I found for dessert that really blew my preggo socks off...

Behold:
Baklava Ice Cream

The Waiting Game

Nothing new. Nothing exciting. No changes. Even more unfortunate is that I've been feeling better than I have in weeks, minus the constant hunger pains. But I suppose having a boy, my cabinets will always feel that wrath.

Maxx is back home and was depressed the day he returned that he wasn't being as spoiled. But since then he's gotten back in the swing of doggy life. Brees continues to follow me around and watch over Jaxon.

I've finished the final little touches on the nursery and after going through Jaxon's massive wardrobe, I've packed several outfits to take to the hospital for him.
I will have one well dressed little boy...

Gorgeous NY Day

Tummy Tuesday: A Little Drop Will Do

I received an email this morning from one of the baby websites I signed up for, congratulating me that I am now officially considered full term and that my baby is currently the size of a watermelon. I'm not sure congrats were in order since I think I could have definitely used a pep-talk after reading that.

Here's the belly as seen today:

At this point Jaxon has also dropped lower. He's banging his head against my left hip bone as if he isn't quite sure where to come out. Directionally challenged: just like mommy.

Evidence of the drop:
